WhatsApp Business payment setup
Meta bills your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) directly for conversation and template fees. Kirimdev does not collect those charges — we only provide the platform layer. If templates fail with billing-related errors, or WhatsApp Manager shows a missing payment method, fix it in Meta Business Suite, not in the Kirimdev dashboard.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Facebook account with admin access to the Business Manager that owns your WABA.
- A valid credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard are commonly accepted).
- Business details ready — legal business name, full address, and tax ID (for Indonesia: NPWP).
Set up billing in Meta Business Suite
Section titled “Set up billing in Meta Business Suite”-
Open Meta billing — payment methods.
Go directly to Meta Business payment methods and sign in with the Facebook account that has admin access to the Business Manager owning your WABA.
-
Add a Business payment method (not from the WhatsApp menu).
On the payment methods page (Indonesian UI: Tagihan dan Pembayaran → Metode Pembayaran):
- Click Add payment method → choose Add Business payment method (Tambah Metode Pembayaran Bisnis).
- Do not add the card from the WhatsApp account screen first — Meta expects a Business-level payment method, then you attach it to the WABA.
Select Credit / debit card, enter the card details, and save.
-
Complete Business Info.
In WhatsApp Manager (or the WABA settings area), open Business info (Informasi Bisnis) and fill in:
Field Notes Business name Legal company / trade name Business address Full street address, city, province, postal code Tax ID NPWP for Indonesian entities — used on invoices and verification Save changes. Mismatched legal names or tax IDs are a common cause of verification delays.
-
Link the payment method to your WhatsApp account.
- Go to Accounts → WhatsApp accounts.
- Open the WABA / phone number you use with Kirimdev.
- Click Add payment method and select the Business payment method you created in step 2.
Confirm the business name and NPWP match your official documents.
Payment verification
Section titled “Payment verification”After you add a card, Meta usually:
- Places a small verification charge on the card to confirm it is valid.
- Completes verification within 1–3 business days (timing varies by country and Business Manager state).
Once verified, your WABA can send approved paid templates and other billable conversation categories according to Meta’s pricing.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| ”Payment method required” in WhatsApp Manager | Open payment methods, then repeat steps 2–4; ensure the method is attached at the WABA level, not only at Business level. |
| Verification stuck > 3 days | Card issuer may block Meta charges; try another card or contact your bank. Confirm Business Info (especially NPWP) is complete. |
| Templates still fail after billing is OK | Template may be pending Meta review, or the WABA is restricted — see Handle failed sends for Kirimdev error codes. |
| Charges on the wrong entity | The Facebook user who added billing must be admin on the Business that owns the WABA connected in Kirimdev. |
